In 2015/2016 the Turkish Yıldırım Group, through Yilport, acquired 100% of TERTIR, the Portuguese port operations and logistics company, from Mota-Engil and Novo Banco. In Portugal the deal gave it control of the concessions and companies operating the terminals in Lisbon (Liscont and Sotagus), Leixões (TCL), Aveiro (two Socarpor concessions), Setúbal (Sadoport and Tersado) and Figueira da Foz (Liscont's operation).
